Phil Caridi most recently accepted a position as the Senior Designer at Bowerbags, a small company located in Savannah, GA. Bowerbags is a modular bag system that aims to lessen the stress of carrying heavy loads on the user through a new clip design. He has also been awarded a Silver IDEA 2015 and Notable in the CORE77 Design Awards with his involvement in the design and prototyping of The Q'WIK 15 Racing Sailboat.
Phil Caridi is also Co-Founder and Designer at ismDESIGN, a small design firm aimed at breaking the silos of the design world. And is a member of the SHiFT Design Camp creation team, as well as a technician at the SCAD DIGILAB. He holds a B.F.A. of Industrial design and has previous education in Architecture, Economics, and Outdoor Education. He has a keen eye for physics and mechanical design due to his 13 year career as a high level professional bicycle mechanic. As an outdoor enthusiast, finding ways to incorporate design and the outdoors has been a goal.
